Core Learning Designer

Course design built around your school. Teachers stay in charge.

Core Learning Designer is a curriculum and resource design application for Australian schools. It helps teachers create LMS pages, unit designs and course designs that meet their school's own standards.

Why we are building it

Good teachers spend too many hours on production work.

Designing a strong course is professional work. Rebuilding the same information across programs, schedules, outcome maps and dozens of LMS pages is not.

Disconnected documents

Change a unit and the program, schedule and map all need updating by hand. Things drift out of alignment.

Inconsistent practice

The school's agreed teaching model lives in a policy document, not in the materials students actually use.

Time taken from teaching

Every hour spent formatting and cross-referencing is an hour not spent on feedback, relationships and real design decisions.

How it will work

Three connected stages, from course intent to classroom-ready pages.

Each stage builds on the one before, so course documents stay aligned as decisions change.

1

Course design

Set the course, year group and syllabus, then map units across the year with timing and assessment points.

2

Unit design

Shape each unit around clear learning intentions, evidence of learning and a visible learning sequence.

3

LMS pages

Produce accessible, student-facing pages for the school's LMS, starting with Canvas.

Your school's standards

Set your teaching model once. See it in every resource.

Whether a school is committed to Explicit Teaching, Mastery Learning, inquiry or a model of its own, Core Learning Designer is designed to build it into the templates every teacher uses.

School

Leaders set the model

Pedagogy, terminology and branding are configured once for the school.

Faculty

Teams adapt it

Faculties tailor it to their subject where the school allows.

Teacher

Teachers apply it

Resources follow the model by default, and teachers refine and approve them.

Design commitments

Built to support professional judgement, not replace it.

Core Learning Designer is being designed by an experienced school leader and curriculum designer. These commitments shape how it is built.

The teacher stays the designer

The app proposes. Teachers edit, decide and approve.

Teacher-only, no student data

No student accounts, and no identifiable student information needed to use it.

Hosted in Australia

Built on AWS in Sydney, with AI processing designed to stay in Australia.

School-owned resources

What staff create belongs to the school, in standard formats that work without the app.

Curriculum is never invented

Curriculum requirements come from authoritative sources, not AI memory.

Works with your LMS

It improves content for the systems schools already use. It does not replace them.

Early 2027 pilot

Help shape it before release.

A school pilot is planned for early 2027. Schools that register interest will be contacted as pilot details are confirmed.

Who

Australian schools and faculties interested in more consistent, less time-intensive course design.

When

Early 2027. Timing and scope will be confirmed with interested schools.

Next step

Register interest. No commitment is required at this stage.
